The Farm

Grammy’s Farm, eMpire District, Coos Bay, is located on a fenced ¾ acre with commercial zoning, just off of Cape Arago Highway, within walking distance (800 ft.) of bay access. It has a 1947 2-bedroom 2-bath farmhouse, a large workshop/garage building, and a small barn.

Located less than two miles from the Coos Bay city limits, with bus service a block away, Grammy’s Farm boasts semi-rural living, with orchards, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, fish, worms, and such, on the edge of the “Big City.”

The living room offers both a pellet stove and a kerosene heater. It doubles as a music room and learning library. The homestead features include rocking chairs, a player piano, and a Victrola record player. We have a treadle cabinet and hope to eventually add a treadle sewing machine.

Two-bedroom, two bath home on a working mini-farm with orchard, 100 blueberry bushes, garden, and small livestock (rabbits, geese, chickens, and dwarf goats). Home offers private fenced front and back yards, and off-street parking. All utilities including wifi are included. The home is fully furnished with linens, towels, and a well-stocked kitchen. Manicured grounds with flowers, bird feeders, and a bird bath. It is a short walk to the beach, a market, and bus stop.

Shared space on the farm includes a picnic area (outdoor table, chairs, lounge chairs, charcoal BBQ, fire pit, and koi pond), small redwood grove, and a small field. Guests are not permitted to enter livestock or growing areas other than the field, which contains non-aggressive geese.

Property owners work the farm, and there is a resident farm manager/grounds keeper, using separate access.
